What is Wellness?Wellness can seem very complicated and often times overwhelming. More often than not people will recognize the symptoms of unbalanced or poor wellness but not know the cause. One of the ones at the top of our mind, and is also the easiest to identify, is our own Physical wellness. Our body sends us reminders that we are not well by getting sick or feeling tired all the time. But this is not the only type of wellness that we need to focus on. Understanding that wellness is an interconnected network of several forms of wellness is a great start to getting balance and health back into your life.
There are 8 dimensions of wellness that can be seen in the image to the left. Each one of these plays an integral part in balancing our lives. Not all of them need to be as equally important in our lives in order to achieve balance but they should never be neglected. |
