Policy:
As an Employer of Choice, Woodgrain recognizes that employees have diverse needs for time off. To respect the needs of our employees, Woodgrain has created this Paid Time Off (PTO) policy. The benefits of PTO are that it promotes a flexible approach to time off by combining vacation, sick and personal leave. This approach allows for employees to use paid time off to accommodate their unique situations.
SCOPE:
This policy applies to all full-time employees within the United States.

SCOPE:
This policy applies to all full-time employees within the United States.
Paid Time Off (PTO) is designed to give employees more flexibility than traditional vacation and sick leave policies, allowing employees to use one bank (PTO) for any number of reasons including vacation time, sickness, or personal time off.
PTO usage is subject to supervisory approval, based on department staffing needs and established departmental procedures. PTO must be scheduled in advance*. At managers discretion, up to three instances of unscheduled PTO may be allowed under this policy. Unexcused absences may result in attendance points in accordance with the company’s attendance policy (see 076-Attendance Policy). The supervisor may request in some circumstances that the employee provide a statement from a health care provider concerning the justification for an unscheduled absence.
PTO will not accumulate while on non-paid leave, short term disability, or maternity leave. If an employee is off work due to a temporary layoff, an approved non-paid leave of absence under another policy, or on leave because of a job-related injury, he/she will not accrue PTO until returning to regular work. Employees on other paid leave (including PTO) do accrue PTO at their normal accrual rate and timing.
Additional restrictions may apply.
